Naga Tea was started by two friends and University of South Florida graduates, Carl Yen and Yi-Hsiang Liao. The two friends decided to start their own bubble tea shop after craving an authentic bubble tea experience, but not finding one in Tampa.
Naga Tea serves a variety of fresh, herbal, milk, and fruit teas with a focus on the real product. Naga Tea uses no powders or artificial sweeteners and uses only real fruits in their fruit teas. All Naga Tea’s product is imported from Taiwan. The milk tea recipe is an original Taiwanese recipe from the 1980s. Bubble tea was invented in Taiwan during the 1980s.
Carl Yen graduated from the University of South Florida – Tampa campus in Summer 2014 with a Master’s Degree in Medical Science and Yi-Hsiang Liao graduated in Summer 2014 with a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship.
